How to Use a Sunpak 4300 Tripod thumbnail
A tripod can be a huge convenience for still photography.

The Sunpak 4300 is a professional-level tripod. It can be used for long exposures or help prevent camera shake in low-light situations. Tripods are primarily used by professional for speicific image compositions, such as studio shooting, or to reduce the weight burden required by the user, such as in sports. Setting up the tripod can seem bizarre at first, but doing specific steps in order can help you place the camera without revisiting steps.

Instructions

    • 1

Screw in the holding bracket to the bottom of your camera into the designated threaded slot.

    • 2

Place the holding bracket, with the camera attached, into the head of the tripod. Lock it into place using the release lever.

    • 3

Extend the legs of the tripod by pulling on the clasp for each segment on each leg. When the desired distance is reached, push the clasp shut to lock it into place.

    • 4

Use the level on the tripod head to see if the position is horizontal or slanted. Adjust the distance of the tripod leg to change the angle.

    • 5

Rotate the lever attached to the head joint to swivel the angle of the camera. When the desired angle is reached, rotate the lever back to lock the position.

    • 6

Rotate the ring beneath the leg joint to raise the middle portion of the tripod. Rotate the ring back to lock it in place.

    • 7

Take the photo after adjusting your camera to the appropriate settings. Repeat the steps in reverse to pack up the tripod.
