Make It Yourself
-
1
Take a look in your craft closet and pull out some simple materials that will make a great invitation --- construction paper, a paper cutter, ribbons and bows.
-
2
Fold the construction paper in half. Use a craft pen or marker to write the appropriate message on the front of the card. For example: "It's (guest of honor)'s Birthday!" or "You're Invited to a Dinner Party." Use a calligraphy pen if you want to give the invitation a more sophisticated or fancier look.

-
3
Open the invitation and write the party details inside, such as the time, date and location of the party. Draw additional designs in the invitation that are fitting for the occasion, such as balloons or flowers.
-
4
Roll the invitation in the form of a scroll, and tie the ribbon around the invitation. Or tie small pieces of ribbons into bows and hot-glue them to the front of the invitation.
Design Your Invitation on Your Computer
-
5
Choose graphics or clip art from your word-processing program that will give an indication of the type of party you're having, such as a birthday cake or graduation cap.
-
6
Create a border for your invitation, and type the invitation details in the center of the invitation. Preview the invitation before saving it.
-
7
Save the invitation on your computer, and send it as an attachment to everyone on your email list. This will inform your guests of the upcoming party without having to use paper or craft supplies.
