How to Upgrade MSN to 8.0
To upgrade your MSN Messenger to 8.0, all you have to do is download and install the program; your old MSN Messenger program will be automatically overwritten by the newer version. Although MSN Messenger 8.0 is much better than MSN Messenger 6 or 7, there are even newer versions available, such as MSN Messenger 11 or 10. You will need to be connected to the Internet to download MSN Messenger 8.0.

Download the MSN Messenger 8.0 installer file.

Open the downloaded file. The install wizard will launch and guide you through the entire installation process. Click through all of the prompts.
