How to Use PFB Fonts
Most of the fonts on a Windows or a Mac computer are in the TrueType or OpenType format and will work within just about any application on either platform. Printer Font Binary (PFB) format, on the other hand, is a storage format for use with Adobe Type 1 font programs. The PFB format might not work with all of the applications on your computer. If you are having trouble using PFB fonts, you can download and use the free application, Adobe Type Manger, which will resolve the issue.
