How to Upload Non iTunes to iPhone
The iPhone is one of the latest and greatest gadgets for the current century. It has revolutionized the way consumers listen to music, talk on the phone and entertain themselves on the go. With any great "toy," there is also a need for specific software. The iPhone relies on iTunes to sync music, pictures and movies to the iPhone. However, any other .mp3 format program will also do the trick.
Instructions
-
Copy to iPhone
-
1
Open media player software that is being used on the computer.
-
2
Convert all music on your computer to .mp3 format. Music can be downloaded, uploaded from CDs or transferred from an email or other server and played in a computer. There are several different types of media, including .wav and .mp4. For an iPhone, music needs to be in .mp3 format. Most media files will already be in this format, but those that are not can be changed by selecting "Convert" under the "Settings" section of the media player heading.

Copy songs to the iPhone. An iPhone works as an external hard drive, which allows you to simply save files onto it and access them as you would with a USB drive. To do this, Click "Start," then "Music" on your computer task bar.
-
4
Press "Ctrl" and "A" on the keyboard to select all of the songs or press "Ctrl" and select each song individually that you would like to transfer to the iPhone.
-
5
Right -lick and select "Copy to" and then select the external drive labeled with iPhone. The iPhone allows you to create playlists from the music that is on your hard drive.
Sync with iPhone
-
6
Repeat Step 1 of Section 1.
-
7
Open media player software on the computer.
-
8
Create a playlist by selecting songs and dragging them to a list. The organized lists can be synced with the iPhone. Syncing is where the computer mimics the music onto the iPhone. Everything that is done on one can be duplicated on the other as long as they are connected.
-
9
Plug a USB cable into the computer and connect the iPhone. Syncing should start automatically, but if not, select the "Sync to Device" option in the media player under "Options."

Tips & Warnings
Check the available storage space on your iPhone before adding music. If there is not enough space for all music, purchase a microSD, which is inserted in the phone for additional storage space.
