The Dolphin emulator is a program that emulates Nintendo Gamecube and Nintendo Wii games. "The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker" was released for the Nintendo Gamecube so the Dolphin emulator is able to play it. The Dolphin emulator runs most of the Nintendo Gamecube and Nintendo Wii games, although there are some games that have graphical issues or performance issues. "The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker" can be tweaked to run more efficiently in the Dolphin emulator.

Double-click on the Dolphin Emulator icon to start the program. Once the program is open, you will see the "Config," "Graphics" and "DSP" buttons.

Click on the "Display" tab, and click on the drop-down arrow of the "Fullscreen Display Resolution" box. Change the resolution to your corresponding screen size. You can play in 720p if you would like by entering in the values "1280" and "720." If you would like to play in 1080p, enter in the values "1920" and "1080."

Click on the "GFX Config" button and look for the "Enable EFB Copy to RAM" box and click on it to select it. Click on the "Advanced" tab in the "Graphics" menu, and click on the "Disable Fog" option.

Click on the "Audio" tab and look for "Enable Audio Throttle" under "Sound Settings." Verify that the audio is unchecked. Set the "DSP Emulator Engine" to "DSP LLE recompiler" or "DSP LLE interpreter (slow)." Drag the volume bar up to "100%" and click the "OK" button to apply the changes. "The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker" should run at more optimal performance after the changes.
