How to Register on the Do Not Call List
The National Do Not Call Registry allows U.S. households to limit telemarketing calls. It is regulated by the Federal Trade Commission and requires telemarketers to cease calling registered households within 31 days.
Registration is free and takes as little as two minutes. While joining the registry will stop most telemarketing calls, some organizations are exempt from law. You may still receive calls from political organizations, charities and surveyors.

Go to the National Do Not Call Registry website and click on "Register a Phone Number."

Enter the phone number you wish to register in the "Area Code" and "Phone" fields. This includes the full area code and seven digit phone number. Enter the numbers with or without hyphens; however, do not use spaces or periods in your entries. You may register up to three phone numbers.

Enter your email address in the "Email Address" field. Enter it again in the "Confirm Email Address" field. Make sure the email addresses are identical. Failure to do so will prevent your registration. Click "Submit" to continue the process.

Review the phone number(s) and email address you have entered. Make sure that all of the information is correct and that you have not omitted anything. Select "Change" to correct any mistakes; otherwise, select "Register" to continue the registration.

Access your email account. Open the confirmation email from Register@DonotCall.gov. Click on the link inside the message to confirm and complete your registration. View and print the confirmation page for your records.

Tips & Warnings
You can remove your phone number from the registry by calling 1-888-382-1222.
You must click the link in the registration email within 72 hours of registration.
