How to Run a Windows Script With a File Extension CS thumbnail
Microsoft development applications handle CS files.

CS script files are source code files for the C# (pronounced "C Sharp") programming language. The C# language is developed by Microsoft for .NET applications and is also part of Microsoft's Common Language Infrastructure. C# is related to C and C++ in that it is an object-oriented programming language. Adobe Dreamweaver, Microsoft Visual Studio and IC Code SharpDevelop are all applications that can be used to open CS files.

Instructions

    • 1

Download and install Adobe Dreamweaver, Microsoft Visual Studio or IC Code SharpDevelop. The choice of which software to use is arbitrary and based on your personal preference.

    • 2

      Launch your preferred development application.

    • 3

Click the "File" menu and select "Open" from the menu options. The application's file browser will open.

    • 4

Navigate to the folder containing the CS file.

    • 5

Select the CS script file and click the "Open" dialog to open the script in your preferred development application. You can then run or modify the script.
