How to Make an Updo With Short Hair

The key to a short hair updo is to curl or wave as much of the hair as possible toward the back of the head. One easy way to create a updo with short hair is to add a small hair piece to a ponytail. Things You'll Need
- Small hair rollers
- Hair product (gel, wax or pomade)
- Hair pins (closest to your hair color)
- Elastic bands
- Hair Spray
- Accessories such as flowers, barrettes or ribbons (optional)

Rub hair product between the palms of your hands and run fingers through damp hair.

Roll as much of your hair that you can toward the back of your head. Dry. Remove rollers

Make 3 to 10 small ponytails on the back of your head. For example, make one row of
three ponytails down the back of the head or make the rows across the back of the head.

Loop each ponytail into a curl and secure with a hair pin. The plastic bands will help secure the pins.

Any remaining hair around the face can be left down or pined back into the hair. Take your time to practice.

Finish with hairspray to hold the style in place.
