Uninstall the corrupt Webroot Antivirus software, if applicable. Open "Add/Remove Programs" (or "Programs and Features") within Control Panel. Locate Webroot in the list of applications and click "Uninstall." Follow the directions onscreen; you may need to restart the computer.

Redownload the Webroot Antivirus with SpySweeper installer from the Webroot website. Save the setup file to your desktop.

Double click the setup file and follow the on-screen directions to complete the install. Enter your Webroot activation key as prompted. Select the option to check for updates. When the install completes, restart the computer. Webroot should now be fully recovered and restored, and you can resume your virus and spyware fighting.
