Book a place to stay. Choose the island(s) where you would like to stay and search for your preferred accommodations. Do quick research on possible attractions and activities that interest you, because the location of these activities may influence where you stay. For travelers on a budget, search for bed-and- breakfasts, as they are often charming, authentic and provide a low-cost alternative to hotels. The Bahamas also offer a wide range of high-end hotels and spas for a luxurious getaway. To minimize planning, all-inclusive resorts have activities, food, amenities and entertainment all lined-up and factored into the set price.

Tips & Warnings
The peak tourist season in the Bahamas is in the winter, from mid-December to mid-April. Make reservations at least two to three months in advance if you plan to visit during this period.
If you plan to visit Gold Rock Beach, consult your hotel concierge for a tide schedule. The best time to visit is during low tide.
Avoid walking alone in isolated areas or the streets of Nassau at night. Although crimes usually take place in areas not frequented by tourists, they have recently occurred in more up-scale tourist areas and residential neighborhoods.
