How to Activate the Mute Option on a Comcast Phone System

Activate the mute option on your Comcast phone without much effort.

The Comcast phone system is known as Digital Voice. Digital Voice allows user to connect their existing phone to a Comcast modem. If you are using a phone with mute capabilities, then you can activate the mute option on your device without much effort. Muting your call prevents the transmission of sound on your end of the phone from reaching the party on the other end.

Instructions

1. Locate the "Mute" button on your phone while you are on a call. Depending upon the model of your phone, you may have to press the "Menu" button and select the number that corresponds to "Mute" from your phone's menu.

2. Press the button to activate the feature.

3. Press the button again to deactivate the mute feature.
