How to Encode Flash Video With H.264

Although Flash is widely used to author Web graphics and animation, the medium has also been adopted to stream video online. Flash videos are circulated with the FLV file extension, and they typically contain video codecs like Sorenson or VP6. But Flash videos can also be encoded with the H.264 codec, a video compression standard that was designed to deliver high quality at a relatively low bitrate. Flash videos that support an H.264 codec are generally circulated with the F4V file extension. Users can take advantage of a tool like Adobe Media Encoder to convert digital videos into an H.264 Flash video format. The program is included in the video editing software suite, Adobe Premiere Pro. But users can also take advantage of free alternatives like iWisoft Free Video Converter and SUPER to generate H.264 Flash videos.
