How to Install Acer 9300 Notebooks

How to Install Acer 9300 Notebooks thumbnail
It is possible to install software directly from a USB-based Flash drive.

The Acer 9200 notebook computer is a Windows-based device that does not have a CD/DVD drive. This does make the computer smaller and lighter, but it also brings up different issues with installing programming. Thankfully, there are a few ways around installing content, as it is still able to download content from the Internet and upload software from USB-based devices.

Instructions

  1. USB Flash Drive

    • 1

Purchase a software installation USB drive from your local electronics store. Many programs now come in a flash drive, instead of a CD (now that some computers don't have a CD/DVD drive).

    • 2

Plug the USB flash drive into one of the USB ports on the Acer 9300 notebook computer. Wait a moment and the computer detects the programming housed on the Flash drive. This loads the installation wizard onto the screen.

    • 3

Accept the end user agreement, then type in any required activation code (this information is found on the user manual or card insert that came with the USB Flash drive, if required). Click "Next" to continue.

    • 4

Click "Next" two more times to leave the installation name and location as-is, then select "Install" to install the software.

    Download

    • 5

Open the Internet browser and navigate to the software's manufacturing website.

    • 6

Choose the "Products" page, then select the program you want to install (the exact phrasing may differ slightly, depending on the website you are using).

    • 7

Fill out the purchase information, then set "Download" as the delivery method. Submit your purchase and the program downloads to your computer (or you are given exact instructions as to how to download the program).

    • 8

Double-click the downloaded file. This loads the installation wizard. Accept the end user agreement, then follow the remaining prompts to install the software onto the computer system.
