How to Change the Size of Internet Pages Displayed on the Computer Monitor With Windows Vista

Screen resolution in Windows Vista determines the size of the icons, images and even Web pages on your monitor. A higher resolution shows smaller page sizes. A smaller resolution shows larger Web pages, which is typically better for people who have vision issues. Several screen resolution options are available in Vista's monitor settings. You choose your size based on whether you want to increase or decrease the size.

Instructions

Right-click your desktop and select "Personalization." This is the shortcut to open the resolution settings, but you can also open the utility from the Windows Control Panel. Click "Appearance and Personalization" in the Control Panel, then click "Personalization" and then click "Display Settings" to open the same window.

Slide the "Resolution" bar left or right, depending on the size changes you want to make. Sliding the control to the left makes Web pages larger. Sliding it to the right makes the size smaller.

Click "Apply" to save your settings. A preview window will open, showing you the resolution and size of your monitor's screen. If you are satisfied with the settings, click "OK" to confirm. Otherwise, click "Cancel," change the resolution again and click "Apply" to test the changes. Continue until you are satisfied with the changes.
