How to Make Bundt Cake Candles
A giant doughnut. That is how some describe the look of a bundt cake, a round ring with distinctive ridges and a hole in the center. Like a doughnut, it's sweet and appropriate as a sugary breakfast or dessert item. However, creating your own bundt cake candle allows you to have this delectable dessert in your home without adding inches to your waistline or consuming excess sugar. A bundt cake candle makes a great gift or centerpiece and you can make one easily in your own home.

1
Place the bundt cake pan on a flat surface with the rounded side facing up. Drill a hole into the 12 o'clock, 6 o'clock, 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock points in the pan. These points are where your candle wicks will go.

2
Feed a pre-waxed candle wick through each hole. Make sure the wick clip is on the inside of the pan. Turn the pan over and mold a quarter-sized piece of modeling clay over each candle wick to hold it in place. Spray the inside of the pan with cooking spray.

Fill the bottom pan of your double boiler with water half way and place on the stove over medium heat. Cut 4 pounds of candle wax into small pieces and place them in the top pan of your double boiler.

4
Break up at least four crayons and add them to the mixture to make it a brown color, as the foundation of your candle should resemble a chocolate bundt cake. Add more crayons if you'd like to achieve a darker brown color.
-
5
Put on a pair of oven mitts. Remove the double boiler from heat once the candle wax pieces and crayons have completely melted. Pour the candle wax into the bundt pan very carefully and slowly. Allow it sit, cool and harden overnight.
-
6
Flip the pan over the next morning and try to gently jiggle the bundt candle out of the pan. You might need to use a butter knife to carefully loosen it around the edges.
-
7
Fill the lower pan of your double boiler half way with water and place on the stove over medium heat. Cut up a small amount of wax about the size of your fist and heat it in the double boiler. Add two broken white crayons. This will be the icing for the bundt cake.

Pour the melted solution over and around the top of your bundt candle. Be careful to avoid the wicks. Allow it to cool completely.
