How to Become a Real Estate Broker in Michigan
The Michigan Board of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons, regulated by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth, defines a real estate broker as an individual that buys, sells, offers to buy or sell, provides an estimate of value on property or oversees other individuals who take part in these activities. In Michigan, a real estate broker's license is required to oversee or employ real estate salespersons, and a broker must have at least three years experience as a salesperson before applying to become a broker.
