How to Find Dish Network Satellite 110

Locating a Dish Network satellite needs to be done when setting up the dish for the first time. All the Dish Network satellites are in the same area of space as they orbit the Earth. As a result, you do not need to adjust the dish to find each satellite. This means that if you are looking for a specific satellite, such as 110, you will need to access a menu option from the satellite receiver.

Instructions

1. Remove the battery cover on the remote control and verify that fresh batteries are being used. Take the old ones out and insert new batteries, if needed.

2. Press the "Power" button on the remote for the television and the satellite receiver to turn then on.

3. Press the "Menu" button on the satellite remote. Press the numbers "6" + "1" + "1" to view the Point Dish and Signal Strength menu.

4. Press the numbers on the remote and enter your ZIP code in the "ZIP Code" field on the screen.

5. Press the "Down" arrow on the remote and select the "Dish 500" option or the option for the type of dish that is installed on your roof.

6. Press the "Down" arrow again and select the option for "110 West." Make a note of the azimuth angle, the elevation angle and the skew.

7. Select the "Cancel" option to go back to the main menu. Select "Cancel" again to exit the Point Dish and Signal Strength menu.

Tips & Warnings

• The azimuth angle, elevation angle and skew are used when installing the dish so that it is pointing at the satellite correctly.
