Outlook 2007 Can't Forward Email: System Administrator Error

Microsoft Outlook 2007 is an email program that allows you to send and receive email from an online mail server. If you are receiving errors when you forward email, you should check to determine if the error is with one particular email or all of your email that you try to forward. Sometimes corrupt attachments on an email can cause issues. If you receive errors when forwarding all email, you might need to use Outlook's inbox repair tool to scan and fix corrupt Outlook files.

Instructions

1. Reboot your computer, launch Outlook 2007 and attempt to forward the email again. Sometimes Outlook can have temporary issues that can be fixed upon a computer reboot.

2. Attempt to forward a different email to a different recipient. Make sure this email does not have an attachment. If you get the same error when forwarding another email, you will know that the error is not with the individual email itself, but with Outlook. In this case, you might need to run an Outlook repair.

3. Close Outlook 2007 on your computer.

4. Navigate to the following folder in your "C" drive: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE12."

5. Double-click the "Scanpst.exe" file to launch the Outlook 2007 repair tool.

6. Click "Browse" to search for your Outlook .pst file. This will usually be located in the following folder in your "C" drive: "C:\Users\(Your User Name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook."

7. Click "Start" to begin the scan. The tool will automatically detect and repair corrupt Outlook 2007 files that might cause issues when attempting to forward an email.

Tips & Warnings

• You might need to turn on the option to display hidden folders on your computer, if it is not already on, in order to view the Outlook application folder.
