How to Reset Excel 2003 to Print DPI

Setting up the dots per inch, or dpi, for a Microsoft Office Excel 2003 spreadsheet helps to determine the resolution of pixels that are printed out on a printer. For example, you will want to configure the spreadsheet to print the same dpi amount that your printer is set up for. The standard default dpi for the settings in the Excel 2003 application is 600 dpi, but the dpi can also be set higher or lower. You can also manually reset Excel 2003 to the default dpi amount at any time.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the Microsoft Excel 2003 spreadsheet file that you want to reset dpi settings for.

    • 2

Select the "File" option from the top toolbar menu and then click the "Page Setup" option. The Page Setup dialog box will then appear.

    • 3

Select the "600 dpi" option in the "Print quality" section to return to the standard dpi setting.

    • 4

Click the "OK" button to close out of the Page Setup dialog box and return to your document.

    • 5

Click the "File" button and then select the "Save" option to save you changes made to the Excel 2003 spreadsheet.
