How to Enable Routing & Remote Access

Routing and Remote Access, or RRAS, is a built-in utility in both Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003. It allows system administrators to provide connectivity for remote workstations to the central network. In order to enable routing and remote access on your server, you must enable TCP/IP forwarding. This function is disabled by default but can be enabled through the RRAS utility or by editing the adequate key in your system's Registry if RRAS has been successfully installed. Proceed with caution when editing this utility, since an error could jeopardize the system's stability.
