How to Install a Vizio Flat Screen LCD Television
Founded in 2002, Vizio has become a leader in the discount entertainment technology industry. Its philosophy is that everyone should have access to entertainment, so the company provides affordable technology without sacrificing image quality. Vizio produces both LCD and LED flat screen HDTVs. Its LCD televisions come with screens ranging from 19 inches to 50 inches, and they cost between about $350 and $2,000, as of late 2010. These televisions do not require professional installation.

Put the batteries that came with your television into the remote. Examine the controls on the side of the television and the connections in the rear. Find an optimal location for your television and set it there, taking into account that it will require either a three-prong outlet or a converter. Keep the television far enough away from walls to allow air flow and prevent overheating. Follow the instructions for your wall mounting hardware if you are wall mounting your television.

2
Connect any external devices, including your cable or satellite box, DVD player, computer, audio equipment, or VCR. The Vizio LCD HDTV has HDMI, component, composite, and coaxial ports for your cable box, and HDMI, component, S-Video, or composite ports for your DVD player. Consult the user manuals for your external devices in order to determine the optimal connection. Match the shapes of the ports to the diagrams in the user manuals and insert the cables firmly.
