How to Sign Up for the GED Test
A GED, or General Educational Development, gives those who didn't finish high school a second chance. It is an opportunity to acquire the equivalent of a high school graduation diploma. Anyone who didn't finish high school and is looking to either enter the work force, attend college, or to simply acquire the certification is able to get a GED. There are many resources available to help make this process easier.

1
Prepare for the GED by studying. There are many books, tutoring services and online resources, including courses that will prepare you for the test.
-
2
Visit the American Council of Education's (ACE) General Equivalency Diploma Testing Service for the complete list of testing centers. With 3,400 testing centers across the globe, you should be able to find one near you.
-
-
3
Sign up for which tests you want to take and how you want to take them. Statistics show that students who spread their tests out do better than those who try to complete the entire test in one sitting. This will, of course, be determined by the testing center, and by what works for your own schedule.
-
4
Take your registration packet, fees, and identification to the testing center. Take the exams and wait for the results. Keep a copy of the GED and test results in a safe place so you have it for employers, college applications, or other uses.
