You do not have to spend much money for customized, decorated champagne flutes for a wedding or other special event. All you need to decorate champagne flutes is some ribbon to tie around the stem and real or artificial flowers to embellish the ribbons. The ribbon comes off easily, so you can wash the flutes or change the ribbons to match the event. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 1/2-inch thick satin ribbon
  • Small real or artificial flowers
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun
  • Baby's breath (optional)

Instructions

      Cut the ribbon into 12-inch lengths. Use one piece of ribbon for each flute or use two contrasting ribbons to add some visual interest.

      Center each ribbon around the base the flute's stem and tie a neat bow in the ribbon. Adjust the loops until the ribbon is even on both sides.

      Remove the stems from the flowers. Place a small amount of hot glue on the backside of the flower and press into the ribbon's knot.

      Thread baby's breath through the ribbon's knot if you would like, instead of gluing a flower to it. The baby's breath is more delicate looking and suitable for events such as a baby shower.

Tips & Warnings

  • Place edible flowers inside the flute to flavor the champagne if you wish. Examples of edible flowers include basil, mint, hibiscus and violets.
