How to View IE7 Passwords

Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) offers users the chance to automatically store passwords for the various membership sites they use. This feature makes it easy to automatically log in to the sites during future visits. IE7 stores a list of these passwords in the Windows database, which is easily accessed through the control panel. Users have the option to view, edit and delete the various passwords for websites as needed.

Instructions

1. Open the "Start" menu and click "Control Panel."

2. Click "Classic View," if it is not selected by default, and double-click "User Accounts."

3. Click "Manage your network passwords" and a dialogue box with a list of your IE7 saved passwords will appear.

4. Click on one of the entries and press "Edit" to change the settings or "Remove" to delete the unnecessary password. Choose "Add" if you would like to define a new website and password.
