How to Upscale Using a Panasonic DVD

How to Upscale Using a Panasonic DVD thumbnail
Upscaling DVDs using a Panasonic player is a one-cable way to optimize the format.

Panasonic upscaling digital versatile disc players are designed to bridge the resolution gap between standard DVD and Blu-Ray players. Standard DVD operates at a 720x480 resolution, while the upscaling process applies a algorithm that mimics true 1080p, or 1920x1080 resolution. Upscaling DVD players from Panasonic and others are relatively inexpensive compared to Blu-Ray players. If the vast majority of movie playback at home involves standard DVD, utilizing an HDMI-based Panasonic upscaling player is a good way to maximize an aging technology.
