Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Understand that special skis are required for most tricks.

  2. Step 2

Look at some trick skis and notice how they are rounder and wider than normal skis. Also observe the smaller fins on both the front and back of the skis, as well as the increased concave and curved shape.

  3. Step 3

Borrow and test as many types of trick skis as you can. Ask different people what they like and dislike about their trick skis. Some are better for certain tricks than others.

  4. Step 4

Decide the type of trick you think you will be specializing in as you begin trick skiing.

  5. Step 5

Visit a specialty store and talk with the sales reps about the different types of trick skis they carry and the differences between them.

  6. Step 6

Buy trick skis that have one ski with two bindings for single ski tricking.
