How to Install Minimum Features on Nero 7 Ultra

Nero 7 Ultra Edition is a program that is primarily used for burning CDs and DVDs on a computer. However, new features have continually been added to the product to maintain competitiveness, and Nero 7 Ultra features several additions such as a program for transferring vinyl records to the computer. If you do not need the extra features and only want to install the basic burning software, you can eliminate unneeded features by performing a custom installation of Nero 7 Ultra.

Instructions

1. Insert the Nero 7 Ultra installation disc or double-click the installation utility if you downloaded a trial version. The Nero 7 Ultra program files are extracted and copied to a temporary folder on the hard drive. Click "Next" when the "Nero 7 Installation Wizard" window appears.

2. Click "I accept the terms in the license agreement," and then click "Next."

3. Enter your name, and if you are using a purchased version of Nero 7 Ultra rather than an evaluation copy, enter your serial number. Click "Next."

4. Click the "Custom" radio button, and then click "Next."

5. Select your language, and then click "Next."

6. Click the icon next to each component of Nero 7 Ultra except "Nero Burning ROM." After clicking each icon, select "This feature will not be available." When you are finished, "Nero Burning ROM" should be the only component that does not have a red "X" next to it.

7. Click "Next," and then click "Install." The utility installs only the CD and DVD component of Nero 7 Ultra.
