How to Change the Battery in a Navman 320

The Navman 320 comes with an internal battery that requires some finesse to access without damaging the exterior of the unit, as the case does not feature a user-friendly release mechanism for the battery compartment. Fortunately, cosmetic damage to the case does not interfere with normal operation of the device.

Things You'll Need

• Narrow flathead screwdriver

Instructions

1. Set the Navman in a warm place. This sounds odd, but it will heat the plastic slightly to make it less brittle and help prevent snapping in step 2.

2. Inspect the main plastic seam on the device, which runs along the back. This seam is held together by small latches made of plastic. Use the screwdriver to gently pry the case open near the speaker. Continue around the case. Once a few of the latches have come undone the back will simply release.

3. Remove the old battery, replace it with the new one and snap the case back together.
