How to Insert Video in a Website by HTML

You can upload a video to your website on your home computer.

Knowing how to upload a video to a website can come in handy if you write your own blog or run a site for your business. By using HTML code, you can embed a video on any spot of your website, but you must first host the video on a free hosting site to create an HTML code for the video. This may sound complicated, but is actually quite easy once you've done it a few times.

Instructions

1. Save the video you want to upload onto your home computer.

2. Visit a free video hosting site like Vidilife.com or Photobucket.com and create and account.

3. Download the video you want to work with onto the free video hosting site you've created an account with. This will generate a URL for the video that you can use when working with HTML code.

4. Highlight the URL for the video with your browser. Right-click on the highlighted URL and choose "Copy."

5. Log on to your private website as the owner and go into the "Edit" function. Choose the "Edit in HTML" function and paste the video's URL in the spot where you would like the video to display. Make sure to hit "Save" before you sign out.

• Preview the website to ensure the video has successfully uploaded.
