How to Plan a Mobile Wedding Massage

Call local massage therapy companies for prices and packages. Make sure you let them know it is for a wedding. Some companies offer packages specifically for weddings that can save you money (see reference 2). Most massage therapists carry their own equipment to the location, including tables. Instruct your guests to bring their own towels and robes if the spa does not provide them (see Resource 1).

Select a location for your mobile massage. You may need to rent an open location such as a hotel suite or have your mobile massage poolside depending on the size of your group. Plan a festive event by purchasing snacks and drinks to keep your guests entertained while they wait for their massages (see reference 4). Send formal invitations to your bridal party for your spa event. Include date, time, location and the spa services that will be provided (see reference 3).

Schedule the massage therapy sessions. Plan to have your massages on a day you are not rushed. If this is a couple's massage, you can schedule the session as a part of your honeymoon. Purchase spa favors to your guests. Provide your bridal party with a memento of the event. Soaps, bath salts and lotions are all parting gifts your guests will enjoy. Create small gift baskets or request that the massage spa place your gifts in bags.

Arrange for spa therapists to arrive one half-hour earlier than your guests to set up equipment. Have beverages ready for your guests when they arrive. Sign in your guests as they arrive and use the list for the spa therapists to call in each person for her treatment. Provide a changing room for your guests to prepare for their massages.
