How to Plug an iPod Shuffle Into a Car

You can listen to your iPod music through your car stereo system. Many car stereos are equipped with an auxiliary jack that can be used to play the music on your iPod Shuffle through your car speakers.

      Locate an auxiliary jack on your car's stereo system. Identify the auxiliary jack by searching for a slot that looks like the one used to plug your headphones into your iPod Shuffle.

      Use 3.5 mm audio cable.

      Plug either end of the auxiliary cable into the auxiliary jack on the stereo system.

      Plug the other end of the auxiliary cable into the headphone slot on the Shuffle.

      Adjust the volume to proper level. You might have to set you volume up higher than normal to achieve proper sound level.
