How to Plug an iPod Shuffle Into a Car

You can listen to your iPod music through your car stereo system. Many car stereos are equipped with an auxiliary jack that can be used to play the music on your iPod Shuffle through your car speakers.

Things You'll Need

• Male-to-male 3.5 mm auxiliary cable

Instructions

1. Locate an auxiliary jack on your car's stereo system. Identify the auxiliary jack by searching for a slot that looks like the one used to plug your headphones into your iPod Shuffle.

2. 

   Use 3.5 mm audio cable.

   Plug either end of the auxiliary cable into the auxiliary jack on the stereo system.

3. Plug the other end of the auxiliary cable into the headphone slot on the Shuffle.

4. Turn the iPod on and press play.

5. Adjust the volume to proper level. You might have to set you volume up higher than normal to achieve proper sound level.

Tips & Warnings

• The 3.5 mm cable is also know as 1/8- x 1/8-inch audio jack.

• The auxiliary cable can be purchased wherever car stereo accessories are sold.

• Some stereo systems hide the auxiliary jack. Refer to the User's Manual for assistance in locating the jack.

• Ensure that the auxiliary cable is plugged in fully to receive the best sound.
