How to Make Dry Laundry Detergent
Making your own laundry detergent is a way to switch from store-brand detergents to an all-natural detergent. You have the choice of creating either a liquid laundry detergent or a powdered laundry detergent. Liquid detergents take longer to make and can occupy a lot more space than just making a dry batch of powdered laundry detergent, so you may prefer a dry laundry detergent. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 1 qt. container with a lid
- 2 cups grated heavy duty bar laundry soap
- 1 cup washing soda
- 1 cup borax

Pour 2 cups of grated heavy duty bar laundry soap, 1 cup of washing soda, and 1 cup of borax in a 1 qt. container that has a lid.

Mix the dry ingredients thoroughly, then cover with a lid until you need to do laundry.

Scoop out 2 tbsp. of your dry laundry detergent and toss in the washing machine as it fills up to get your clothes nice and clean.
