How to Cheat a Relion Thermometer
A Relion thermometer is a thermometer that measures your body temperature through your ear canal. It is easy to use and difficult to cheat on accident. This is because, unlike other thermometers, its readout is not affected by what you were doing prior to the reading, whether that was smoking, talking or walking. The ear temperature is constant no matter what your body's general state is.

Drop the thermometer. The readout can be affected if the thermometer is exposed to shock, and dropping it is a surefire way to do so. However, make sure you don't drop it from too high a height, as you are trying to change its readout, not break it.

Move around while the thermometer is in your ear. This will make the temperature innacurately low.

Store the thermometer near an oven or the freezer. This will change the thermometer's ability to accurately read your temperature because it is not supposed to be near temperature extremes.

Handle the probe tip with your fingers. This will throw it off and allow you to cheat.

Wet your ear before the thermometer is used. This will make it gauge the temperature of the water, not the temperature of your ear.
