How to Register an Unlocked Domain Name
Domain name locking, also known as registrar locking, is a feature that registrars such as Go Daddy, Yahoo and Network Solutions provide to make it difficult for impersonators to move your domain to a new registrar. While beneficial, this feature also requires you to unlock a domain before moving the domain name to another company. Although most companies do not allow you to register an unlocked name, you can immediately unlock your domain after registration in anticipation for future moves.
