How to Determine the Version of IE

IE, or Internet Explorer, is a Web browser by Microsoft pre-installed by default with the Windows operating system. Most of the Windows editions introduce a new version of IE, but other versions are available for stand-alone installation. If you are unable to determine which Internet Explorer version is installed on your computer you can use the "About" feature to find out.

Instructions

1. Start the Internet Explorer browser.

2. Click the "Help" menu option and select "About Internet Explorer."

3. Check the Internet Explorer version in the "About Internet Explorer" window under "Windows."
