How to Remove Wax From a Glass Candlestick
A festive table for the holidays is set off by a set of crystal candlesticks, gleaming in the light of freshly lit candles. The aftermath, on the other hand, isn't as pretty. While glass candlesticks are an attractive addition to your table, they tend to get covered in melted wax by the end of the evening. Use some old methods to remove the wax from your glass candleholders without scratching their surfaces. Does this Spark an idea?

Place the wax-covered candlesticks into the freezer on a level surface. Leave the candlesticks in the freezer for at least one hour to completely harden the wax.

Remove the candlesticks from the freezer, and immediately poke at the edge of the wax with a toothpick. Push the toothpick point under the edge of the wax to pop the solid chunks of wax loose. If the day is warm and you have a lot of wax to remove, replace the candlesticks in the freezer to reharden the wax.

Soak the candlesticks in very hot water after you have allowed them to warm to room temperature. Leave the candlesticks in the hot water for five minutes to soften any remaining wax residue.

Remove the candlesticks from the water. Wipe inside the candlesticks as well as outside to remove any remaining wax that may be present.
