How to Program a KIA Rondo Remote

How to Program a KIA Rondo Remote thumbnail
Your KIA dealership must program your Rondo keyless-entry remote.

Owners of a KIA Rondo with the keyless-entry feature will have remotes to use when locking and unlocking the doors on the vehicle. When you purchase your vehicle, the dealer will have already programmed the remotes so they will work, as this requires use of specialized equipment. In the event you need to purchase replacement remotes, you will need to contact your dealer to program them.

Instructions

    • 1

Call your KIA dealer and arrange to visit the dealership to program your remotes. Make sure you let the dealer know the year of your car when scheduling the appointment. Only your dealer can program the keyless-entry system and remote as specified in the Rondo User's Manual.

Take all your remotes, including the replacements and the originals, to the dealership for programming. The dealer will hook up a specialized computer system to the vehicle to program the remotes. The dealer might charge a fee to perform the service (the fees vary by dealership).

Ask the service representative to test all your remotes to make sure they work properly before paying any fees and leaving the dealership.
