How to Use the Birkenstock Footbed Cleaner

Birkenstock shoes are known for quality workmanship and a comfortable fit. The footbeds, created to have the imprint of a healthy foot, are made of cork and natural latex. Through normal wear, the footbed can become worn and dirty, but proper maintenance and care will help prolong the life of your shoes.   • Bristle brush
  • Cork sealant

Instructions

    • 1

      Spray the footbed cleaner into the footbed surface. Let it sit for a few minutes to penetrate.

    • 2

      Use a wire suede brush or a firm bristle brush to brush the footbed. The friction will break apart and lift dirt and other residue from the shoe.

      Allow the shoes to air dry. Spray a protectant in the footbed.

    • 4

      Apply a cork sealant on both sides of the footbed to prevent the cork from drying out.
