How to Tie Knots With Ribbon

How to Tie Knots With Ribbon thumbnail
Ribbon adds a nice festive touch to the finished product.

Ribbon adds a nice touch to cards, gifts, toys, scrapbooks and anything else you can think of. Using ribbon to tie bows can use up the material quickly if you have a lot of items to decorate. A nice alternative to making bows is to tie knots using the ribbon. This method uses less material, it is just as nice, fast and easier to create.

Place the ribbon around the item you're using it on. The ends of the ribbon should be pointed away from you.

    • 3

Put your finger in the middle of the ribbon to hold the wrap tight. Cross the right end over the left end and wrap the ribbon around the finger. Remove your finger.
