How to Cool Down an AMD Laptop
Laptops work hard to run all the processes required to keep them on, bright and connected to the Internet. When your computer is running its hardest, it may begin to overheat. If the internal fan is constantly clicking on and spinning, the laptop needs to be cooled. The temperature of an AMD laptop is more about its current location and activity than any hardware in the machine. Keep the temperature of your AMD laptop low to keep it working well.

1
Place your laptop on a hard, cool surface, such as a table or a hard-covered book. Hard surfaces allow the laptop to keep a bit of space between its base and the surface, improving air flow.
-
2
Press the button on the can of compressed air to release a strong, sustained burst of air. Clear out all the vents in the laptop using the compressed air. Moving dust blockages from the laptop will help keep it cool.

3
Put a table fan on the same table as the laptop. The airflow should be directed across the laptop. This increased air flow will keep the laptop cool without overpowering the system resources.
-
4
Set the laptop on a chill mat. This is a hard surface that plugs into your laptop's USB port and runs fans to keep it cool.
-
5
Avoid opening the laptop and restructuring hardware components. While you can make the interior more conductive to good airflow, you will void the warranty. Focusing on other methods of cooling will help keep the internal temperature from spiking without damaging your warranty.
