How to Find a Practice Test for Drivers Getting Ready to Take Their Learner's
Obtaining a learner's permit is a major stepping stone towards obtaining a driver's license. You must pass a test in order to obtain a learner's permit. A learner's permit authorizes an individual to learn to drive. Though the rules vary from state to state, most states require holders of learner's permits to have a fully licensed driver in the vehicle at all times during the learning process. The minimum age for taking the learner's permit test ranges from 15 to 17, depending on the state.

Contact the local DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles). As the administer of the test for the learner's permit, the local DMV should be your first point of contact. You can find the phone number to the local DMV in the blue pages of your phone book or by performing an Internet search for "department of motor vehicles" along with the name of your state. Most DMV offices have practice tests and study guides available for the learner's permit examination.
