Attache USB sticks may require drivers if your computer runs Windows 98 or earlier.

Attache USB devices or "flash drives" are manufactured by PNY Corp. and range in size from 64 megabytes to 4 gigabytes of storage capacity. You may need PNY Attache drivers if your computer runs on Windows 98 or earlier and does not have USB drivers installed by default. You can download Attache software from PNY's website in about five minutes.

      Turn on your computer and log in to your user account. Open a Web browser and navigate to the PNY Attache driver Web page using the link in References. Select the USB 2.0 drivers and download them to your computer.

      Double-click the USB 2.0 installer and agree to the End User License Agreement (EULA) by clicking "Yes." Then select an installation directory and click "Next." The computer will begin installing USB 2.0 drivers on your Windows 98 computer.

      Restart your computer when driver installation completes, and then log in to your user account again. Plug in the USB Attache drive to a free USB port on your computer. It will be detected automatically by the Attache drivers and you will be able to use it to store data immediately.

Tips & Warnings

  • PNY no longer maintains support for Windows 98 and cannot provide help should the drivers not work on your computer.
