How to Stream a VLC Player

VLC is a free, open-source media player application for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. VLC supports a variety of audio and video formats using its built-in codecs, and plays them back locally. VLC also has built-in support for streaming videos and music over the network. Use VLC's streaming wizard to set up a video stream. Play videos and music over the network in your house, or stream them over the Internet to a friend elsewhere in the world.
