How to Repair an .Mdf File
Database files that are created using Microsoft SQL Server usually end with the ".MDF" file extension. MDF files are compatible with programs such as Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft System Center. If you cannot open an MDF file using one of these programs, the file must have gotten corrupted. You can repair corrupted MDF files by using third-party recovery tools such as "Recovery Toolbox for SQL Server," "Stellar Phoenix SQL Recovery" or "SQL Recovery Tool."
