How to Uninstall Roxio Media Creator 10
Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 is a software program that allows users to create, customize and burn CDs and DVDs. Similar to many other PC program removal processes, Windows users must manually remove the program through the Control Panel menu options. However, to completely remove the program from a computer's hard drive, users must also remove Roxio files stored in the registry.

Go to "Start" and type "MSCONFIG" in the "Start Search" box. When the "User Account Control" box appears on the screen, click "Continue."

Click the "Startup" tab when the "System Configuration" menu appears on the screen. Next, click the "Disable All" button.

Click the "Apply" button to save your changes, and then click "OK" to exit.

Click the "Restart" button when the "System Configuration" box appears on the screen.

Go to "Start" and open the "Control Panel." Next, click on the "Uninstall a program" link, which is listed in the "Programs" section.

Scroll through the list of computer programs and click the Roxio Creator program. Next, click on the "Uninstall" button, which is located on the Control Panel's "Programs and Features" toolbar. When the Windows dialog appears on the screen, click "OK" to continue with the removal process.

Close the Control Panel.

Go to "Start" and click "Computer." Next, click the "Organize" tab and select "Folder and Search Options." The "Folder Options" menu will appear on the screen.

Click the "View" tab and check the box next to "Show hidden files and folders." Click the "Apply" button to save your changes. Next, click "OK" to exit the menu.

Click on "Start." Manually remove four different Roxio files from your hard drive:
C:\Program Files\Roxio
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared
C:\Users\Username\App Data\Local\Roxio
C:\Users\Username\App Data\Roaming\Roxio
Enter each file name in the "Start Search" box. When the specific Roxio file appears, click and drag the file to the "Recycle Bin."

Double-click on the "Recycle Bin." Next, click on the "Empty the Recycle Bin" button and select "Yes" to permanently remove the Roxio files from your hard drive.

Go to "Start," type "regedit" in the "Start Search" box and click "Continue." The "Registry Editor" menu will appear on the screen. To prevent damage to your PC, it is recommended that you export your registry before editing and deleting Roxio files from your PC's registry. You can export your registry by clicking the "File" tab and selecting "Export." Next, select a destination folder, name your registry file and click the "Save" button.

Double-click the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" folder. Next, click the "Software" folder.

Right-click the "Roxio" folder and select "Delete." Minimize the HKEY_CURRENT_USER" folder when you're finished deleting the Roxio folder.

Double-click the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder. Next, click the "Software" folder.

Right-click the "Roxio" folder and select "Delete."

Close the "Registry Editor" window.

Reboot your computer to complete the removal process.
