How to Install Microsoft Office Trial

Microsoft Office 2010 was released in May 2010. The release was accompanied by the launch of a free trial edition of the software in a Home or Professional version. Designed to work for 60 days free of charge before deactivating itself, the Office 2010 Trial Version is fully functional and offers no usage restrictions. Request your free trial from the Microsoft website to receive your license key.

Instructions

1. Register for the Home or Professional evaluation edition of Office 2010. You will need to supply professional or business contact information to download the trial of the professional edition. Both versions will require a valid Microsoft Live ID, which can be registered for at no cost during the download process. The download links for both versions are included in the Resources section.

2. Click "Install Now" beneath your product key on the download page to start the download. Choose to save the file to your desktop and do not modify the file name.

3. Double-click the installation file on your desktop to start the installation.

4. Enter the product key provided on the Microsoft download page to begin the download. The Office 2010 Trial Edition is built using Microsoft's "Click-to-Run" technology, which allows you to begin using basic Office features as the program is

   still downloading.
