How to Obtain an NPI
NPI is short for National Provider Identification. An NPI number is required for health care providers who submit claims to insurance companies. All claims after May 23, 2007, have a special space for the NPI number, therefore it is important to know how to obtain one. Applications can be obtained online or through the mail.
