How to Share an Internet Connection With a Crossover Cable Connection
A crossover cable is a specially designed type of Ethernet cable that is aimed at connecting two computers directly to each other without using something like a router. If one of those two computers is connected to the Internet, that Internet connection can also be shared with the second computer via the Ethernet cable. You just have to make the appropriate adjustments to the settings of your Internet connection in the Network and Sharing Center.
