How to Format Media in a BlackBerry

Like any computer or multimedia device, your BlackBerry media might become slow or full. If this happens, you might find the need to format it. When you format the media in your BlackBerry, all the data on your Media Card is completely removed and you will start fresh. Once deleted, this media cannot be restored, so only perform this task if you are sure you wish to get rid of all the data.

Instructions

1. Press the BlackBerry icon (Menu) key then select "Settings."

2. Click "Options," then "Memory."

3. Press Menu, then choose "Format."

4. Select "Media Card," then select "Yes" to confirm the formatting.

5. Wait while the card is formatted. This may take a few minutes depending on the size of your media card. Select "OK" once the "Format Successful" dialog appears.
